This cartoon displays bombs that increase in size as they move to the right. On the bombs seem to be the excuses the government used to increase bombing. There is an American man climbing the bombs who seems to be struggling. The man represents how Americans are struggling when the government is spending so much on defense. This cartoon gives a bad connotation to the increase in bombing. The bombs do not only mean bombs; they also represent the defense spending of the American government as well as their involvement and commitment in the war. The author of this cartoon believes that the government should not spend so much on the bombing, and that it is causing the American people to be unhappy.
