"White Wash"

This political cartoon displays the way the government acted badly during the time of the Vietnam War. The cartoon displays the government painting over the “truth” This happened in real life, when the government hid the fact that the United States was actually having trouble in the Vietnam War. This cartoon has an antiwar sentiment since it brings a negative connotation to the government. It shows them lying and as you can see, the man in the cartoon has a very devious look about him. Overall, the author of the cartoon is probably unhappy with the government because he portrays them lying to the citizens of the United States, just as the government did at this time.
